Empty streets during lockdown
|
While the medical personnels, doctors and scientists are trying to find a cure to Coronavirus and governments are trying to find ways to manage economic losses. However it is also important to find ways to manage the mental health of people those who are recovering from the virus, those who are under isolation and those who are staying at home. Well, in this dark time, there are a lot of things to do not just posting photos of you or sharing memes on social media. We can use this time to do something creative.
What I do during quarantine!
For few days of lock down my routine was simple; eat, sleep, watch series, play games, be active in social media etc. But with the time boredom strikes. So I thought of doing something creative. For that I started to write blogs, make some videos as I am kind of into video editing, try making new dishes etc. I am studying Agriculture science. So I started working for making Bonsais. Helping my mom in the kitchen and kitchen garden too. And at the end of day video call with some friends. Actually I got to spend some quality time with family. It is going good but even if you are doing something creative, it's very difficult situation.
Nowadays, the message is very clear: STAY HOME. Many countries are in Coronavirus Lockdown and we must stay home, as that is the only “vaccine” we have for now. So, what to do to fight boredom at home during this quarantine? Let’s look at some ways by which we can keep up with the lockdown and social distancing with a positive mind:
- Social distancing doesn't mean emotional distancing. If you're feeling depressed or anxious talk to your family or friends; use technology.
- Switch up your morning routine: start with exercise and no screen time until breakfast.
- Learn something new: You can pick something from your hobbies. It could be dancing, singing, blogging, poetry or some management skills. How? Internet surfing! There is tutorial for everything.
- Cook new recipe; try something international.
- Learn a foreign language: I recommend Spanish. "el espaenol se habla en todo el mundo"
- Read a good book. Well, reading a book is not something new, but reading a good book can be.
- Restrict media time.
- Start meditation: Make meditation a part of your routine just like exercise and see the change.
- Hone your talent.Work on your weakness. Prioritize things. Watch TED talks.
- Do anything you feel that is a creative way to pass the time. Remember you don't have to be creative every time.
If you have time to be bored a home, then you have time to change your life!
I know you'd like to go out, explore the world and be free. don't worry there will be time for that when all this is over. Well till then We just have to stick at home. Stay Home. Stay Safe. Save lives.
