We can't work for food when there is no food for work.

If you are interested in food security you might have heard about zero hunger. What is zero hunger for you? It is a sensitive matter of the present world. Actually, Zero Hunger is a mission set by the global nations to defeat hunger or to achieve a hunger-free zone by 2030. Zero hunger is the second goal among 17 global goals set to achieve around the world by 2030. We hear the development in the field of agriculture daily. The advancement in agriculture, modernization, research, etc but the present position of agriculture is not sufficient to achieve zero hunger as daily 815 million people go to bed hungry. There is no doubt that if the condition is not considered asap those three figures would be seen increasing.

What comes in our mind when we think of a solution to zero hunger?
Food Waste, right. It's obvious because one-third of the food we produce is wasted. This
condition compels us to consider food waste as the only cause of hunger but is that the only cause? It is one of the causes. When food is wasted not only the food is wasted but also the resources used are also wasted. But the question is can we achieve zero food waste? obviously not. I think food is wasted even in ideal condition. What matters is how you use that wasted food to aids the Zero Hunger campaign. If you can't stop food waste, minimize it and use that wasted food wisely and support Zero Hunger. 

There are various programmes running under Food And Agriculture organization working for Zero Hunger campaign. we sitting at home are updated about their activities, we share those on social media, present our views etc but have we ever think of taking actions? No, right. we know everything but are we applying them in our daily lives? we talk about food waste but we waste more and more food than previously. Don't we waste the resources required for agricultural purpose? Climate change is the major problem for the present world which is deteriorating agriculture. But we don't stop burning plastics, using old vehicles, doing activities that aid climate change. We can give a long speech on the topic but do we apply? Only the agencies working for Zero Hunger can't do anything unless we don't support them from the local level. We can't do huge things from the local level but small change also counts friends. So wake up friends, We have to defeat hunger and support Zero Hunger campaign locally.

At present, more than 90% of worlds food is produced by family farms. If we really want to achieve Zero Hunger developing family farms is a must. We once in life have used the word women empowerment, right? This is the real time to empower women, educate women as they are our key players in the mission of Zero Hunger. We can't deny the fact that the maximum number of labours in family farms are women. and we can't even imagine the power of educated women. They will take this mission to the next level. So men in assistance with women will rock the future of food. 

Together We Can.

  Similarly, youths are the Future of agriculture. They are the future of Zero Hunger world. So investing in them is investing in our Zero Hunger future.

In my view, below-traced points will certainly aid to Zero Hunger campaign:

• Women empowerment
• Promoting family farms
• Investing in youth
• Sustainable agriculture
• Climate action
• No matter how fruits and vegetables look they are equally nutritive. So, stop the culture of abnormal looking fruits.
